Project Apexa
In Detail.

About Project Apexa

Project Apexa is poised to revolutionize the energy landscape in Gombe State by providing a reliable and sustainable power supply to the state’s industrial park, which includes rice mills, food processing plants, and a data center. Additionally, the project will deliver clean electricity to the Wawa Zange grazing reserves, supporting agricultural activities and promoting rural electrification in the region.
Located in an area with one of the highest solar irradiance levels in Nigeria, the 150MW solar plant will leverage solar technology to generate clean energy, reducing the state’s dependence on fossil fuels and significantly lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Once fully operational, Project Apexa is expected to increase the power generation capacity of Gombe State, helping to meet the growing demand for reliable power in the region.

To become a catalyst for sustainable development in Nigeria by leveraging renewable energy to power industrial growth, enhance rural livelihoods, and drive environmental stewardship in Gombe State and beyond.

To establish a 150MW photovoltaic solar power plant that delivers reliable, clean energy to Gombe State's industrial and agricultural sectors, while setting a benchmark for innovation, sustainability, and energy independence in Nigeria.

This highlights our commitment to utilizing advanced solar technology to build a large-scale, efficient, and high-capacity energy facility

The emphasis on reliability and cleanliness underscores the project’s goal of providing a stable energy supply that is environmentally friendly and free from the pollution associated with fossil fuels.
The mission clearly identifies the primary beneficiaries of the project, focusing on both industrial development and agricultural enhancement, which are crucial for Gombe State's economic growth.
The project aims to lead by example in adopting new technologies and innovative practices in renewable energy.
By reducing dependence on nonrenewable energy sources, Project Apexa will contribute to Nigeria’s energy security and long-term sustainability goals.
The project will extend its impact beyond industrial zones, providing energy to the Wawa Zange grazing reserves, which will improve agricultural productivity and quality of life in rural areas.

Impact & Benefits

The launch of Project Apexa is not just about generating electricity—it is about creating opportunities. The project will create over 2,000 jobs during its construction phase and additional employment opportunities during its operation. This influx of jobs will provide valuable skills and training to local communities, fostering economic development and promoting sustainable growth in Gombe State.
By generating electricity from solar power, the project will reduce the need for fossil fuels, significantly cutting down greenhouse gas missions and helping combat climate change. More so, solar energy production does not release pollutants like sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, or particulate matter, which are associated with traditional power plants. This leads to cleaner air and improved health outcomes for local communities.
Implementing CSR initiatives, such as building schools, clinics, or providing scholarships, would further enhance the project’s positive impact on local communities. Engaging with local communities is vital to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of Project Apexa. The project will create job opportunities for local residents during both during the construction and operational phases.
