About Project Apexa
Project Apexa is poised to revolutionize the energy landscape in Gombe State by providing a reliable and sustainable power supply to the state’s industrial park, which includes rice mills, food processing plants, and a data center. Additionally, the project will deliver clean electricity to the Wawa Zange grazing reserves, supporting agricultural activities and promoting rural electrification in the region.
Located in an area with one of the highest solar irradiance levels in Nigeria, the 150MW solar plant will leverage solar technology to generate clean energy, reducing the state’s dependence on fossil fuels and significantly lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Once fully operational, Project Apexa is expected to increase the power generation capacity of Gombe State, helping to meet the growing demand for reliable power in the region.

The launch of Project Apexa is not just about generating electricity—it is about creating opportunities. By generating electricity from solar power, the project will reduce the need for fossil fuels, significantly cutting down greenhouse gas missions and helping combat climate change. More so, solar energy production does not release pollutants like sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, or particulate matter, which are associated with traditional power plants. This leads to cleaner air and improved health outcomes for local communities.
Implementing CSR initiatives, such as building schools, clinics, or providing scholarships, would further enhance the project’s positive impact on local communities.
